Lo padre y lo no tan padre de Zona Maco 2015
La verdad es que nunca había estado en Zona Maco, sabía del proyecto y había visto algunas cosas en televisión pero nunca había estado ahí en vivo y a todo color, así que decidí hacerlo en su décima segunda edición de lo que va de esta feria, que se conoce como la más importante de Latinoamérica.
Lo padre es que pude notar desde el primer momento en que pisé la alfombra del Centro Banamex, que el evento estaba lleno de propuestas creativas, no sólo en los artículos que ahí exponían, sino también en los mismos expositores, diseñadores, en los visitantes, los patrocinadores y hasta en la comida.
Tan sólo en la Sección General ví aproximadamente más de 70 galerías con artistas de trayectoria internacional, como Victoria Miro (Londres), Raffaella Cortese (Milán), Paul Kasmin (NY), Von Bartha entre otros.
Me sorprendió la cantidad de diseño en muebles, artefactos, ropa, accesorios y piezas de arte, pero sobre todo el material con el que algunas estaban elaboradas, porque para algunos apostarle a la sustentabilidad ambiental se notó que es fundamental.
Lo no tan padre fue que esperaba algo más del entorno; es decir, si se trataba de el evento sobre diseño y vanguardia en México y América Latina, ¿por qué la distribución de los stands y galerías no es más creativa, temática o simplemente diferente?
Para quienes asistimos por primera vez con tantas expectativas, puede dejarnos con una sensación de querer ver algo más, que se yo, una experiencia completa en todos los aspectos; en resumen respirar diseño y vanguardia en cada espacio.
Por último les comparto que esta edición 2015 ha sido la más exitosa de su historia, siendo visitada por más de 41,000 visitantes de todo el mundo durante los cinco días del evento.
